IEEE Conference on Network Softwarization
25-29 June 2018 – Montreal, Canada

Welcome to IEEE NetSoft 2018

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Softwarization (NetSoft 2018) on June 25-29, 2018, in the heart of the vibrant city of Montreal, Canada.

As in the previous editions of the conference, NetSoft 2018 will shed light on enabling technology components and systems in the support of future softwarized networks. With the growing need for agility, automation and autonomy, smart networking with embedded Artificial Intelligence leveraging NFV and SDN is becoming essential to any service infrastructure. This evolution is captured in the theme of the conference: “Achieving smart network softwarization”.

The technical program of NetSoft 2018 features 4 keynote talks delivered by world-class researchers and practitioners, a distinguished experts panel discussion, 10 paper presentation sessions and 3 demo sessions showcasing prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations of ongoing research. 4 focused workshops and 4 practical tutorials complement the program. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy this rich and engaging program.

NetSoft 2018 owes its success in large part to a dedicated community of researchers from academia and industry that has formed over the recent years. First, we would like to thank the authors of submitted papers for their contributions. Second, we would like to acknowledge the hard work and tireless effort of the many volunteers in the Organizing Committee and the Technical Program Committee of the conference and its workshops, as well as the numerous reviewers who thoroughly reviewed around 160 conference and workshop papers and put together a comprehensive and high-quality technical program. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to Concordia University for hosting the conference, as well as our patrons for their support and generosity: Concordia University, Huawei, and Mitacs.

We wish you an inspiring and enlightening time at NetSoft 2018 and an exciting stay in Montreal.
